Designed as the sequel to Indigo Dreams, this CD offers longer stories and expands on the relaxation techniques of breathing, visualizations, muscular relaxation and affirmations. Ideal for older children (ages 6-12), or as step two for those already familiar with Indigo Dreams. The narration is accompanied by healing sounds of dolphins, sea otters and gentle waves. An additional music sound track is included to further enhance your child's mind, body and spirit. Every child has a different emotional maturity, attention span, and need. While the stories are best suited for ages 6-12, do not let this be your primary reason for selecting. I recommend the Indigo Ocean Dreams stories for children with longer attention spans and children looking to add variety to their relaxation story collection. The story lengths range from 10-15 minutes. You know your child best and remember this is not about the reading level. The focus is on the actual techniques. Even adults and teens can learn the techniques within these stories if they will allow themselves to enjoy a playful format. (For those who prefer a guided format there is Indigo Dreams: Adult Relaxation and Indigo Teen Dreams.) This collection includes the story Angry Octopus which was seen on ABC’s Shark Tank and deals specifically with anger. However, all of the techniques can be used to reduce anger, decrease stress, and improve sleep.
